For the Holiday Season, The Gateway Mountain Players explored a new avenue, offering a Readers Theater presentation of A Christmas Carol, by Charles Dickens.
Readers Theater is story telling taken to the next level. Cast members read from scripts, and for this play, used colorful scarves, caps and other dressings and props to portray the various characters.
The performances were taken "on-the-road", with each being held in a different location: in Blue Ridge at the Blue Ridge United Methodist Church and St. Luke's Episcopal Church; in Ellijay at the Mountain Light Unitarian Universalist Church; and in Ducktown, Tennessee at the Glen Springs Holdings Building.
