BECKY SHAW of Roxie Watson / Just Roxie, returns to Blue Ridge Community Theater for this special night of music! The Georgia-based singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist’s songs blend folk, old country, Americana, rock and roll, and classical influences into something uniquely her own—melodic, introspective, and emotionally resonant. Her resume reads like a who's who of roots music: shared stages with the Indigo Girls, Suzy Bogguss, Caroline Herring, Michelle Malone, and Shawn Mullins. Performances at The Bluebird Café, Eddie's Attic, CBGB's, The Pier in Seattle, and the Classic Center Theatre in Athens.
Music has been Shaw's constant companion since childhood, growing up in a musical family where singing and playing were part of everyday life. This show will feature a special guest – Becky’s sister, Dawn Shaw Patrick, joining her on violin and vocal harmonies (and who knows … maybe some other surprise guests as well!). Dawn has played multiple shows with Becky and with her band Just Roxie. Becky sits in with Dawn’s group Wilma the Band whenever she gets up to New Jersey, and the duo is recording some new songs in 2026. With Becky on guitar and Dawn on violin, they’ve got that rare, lucky sister blend of voices and instruments, based in something rich and intangible and deep.
