About the Show

Set in the Oklahoma territory at the turn of the 20th century, Rodgers and Hammerstein’s beloved classic celebrates the spirit of community and the pursuit of love in a changing world. The story follows the budding romance between the cowboy Curly and farm girl Laurey, complicated by the brooding farmhand Jud. With iconic songs like “Oh, What a Beautiful Mornin’,” “People Will Say We’re in Love,” and the rousing title number, the musical blends heartfelt drama, lively comedy, and show-stopping dance. Full of hope, rivalry, and joy, Oklahoma! captures the struggles and triumphs of ordinary people carving out a life on the American frontier.
